Format/Field Size: 54 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. The field is limited to 96 teams.
Divisions: Mid Amateur - 25 & Over (48 teams)
Senior - 55 & Over (36 teams)
Super Senior - 65 & Over (12 teams)
Eligibility: Entries are open to male amateur golfers who have reached their 25th birthday on or before September 9, 2013. Teams must have a combined USGA handicap index of 8.0 or less. The Senior division is open to male amateur golfers age 55 or older as of September 9, 2013. Teams in the Senior division must have a combined handicap index of 10.0 or less. The Super Senior division is open to male amateur golfers age 65 or older as of September 9, 2013. Both members of each team must be a member of a Trans-Miss member club.
Entry Procedure: Entries will be accepted in the order they are received with preference given to past participants, competitive record in prior TMGA championships, competitive record of each team member in non-TMGA events and contributions made to the Trans-Miss Turf Scholarship Fund. Participants will be notified if they have a spot in the field by August 19, 2013. If a particular division is not full by July 24th and there is a wait list in another division, spots in the field will be filled by those teams on the wait list. Exemptions: Spots in the field will be held until July 24th for teams who meet the following exemption criteria:
Practice Round: Practice rounds will be available on Sunday, September 8th. Teams should contact the pro shop at Spanish Oaks no earlier than Friday, August 30 to schedule a practice round. Tee times will be available starting at 8:00 AM. Players are limited to one complementary practice round.
Tee Times - Notice of Withdrawal/Refunds: Tee times / pairings for the first round will be posted on the Trans-Miss website no later than Wednesday, September 4th. Final round tee times / pairings will be based on total score after the second round. Any player withdrawing prior to August 14th at 5:00 PM will receive a full refund less a $25.00 administrative fee. Any withdrawals after the August 14th 5:00 PM deadline, will not receive a refund unless a spot is filled by a player on the wait list.
Transportation/Forecaddies: Teams must ride. Cart fees for the tournament and practice round are included in the entry fee. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at a time, and a maximum of two (2) carts per group. A forecaddie will also be assigned to each group for tournament rounds ONLY.
Food & Beverage: All players are invited to attend a cocktail reception on Sunday, September 8th at Spanish Oaks GC. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on tournament days ONLY and is included in your entry fee.
